St. Andrew’s church, Surbiton

Sergei Rachmaninov

The All-Night Vigil is an a cappella choral composition by Sergei Rachmaninov, his Op. 37, premiered on March 23, 1915 in Moscow. The piece consists of settings of texts taken from the Russian Orthodox All-night vigil ceremony.

We have invited Irina Walters, who has already assisted us in our practice with the Russian language and style, to give a talk to the audience during the small breaks in the concert about the work.

Also see the concert flyer with ticket details here where you can also leave comments and feedback after the concert!
