After more than thirty years with the choir, Ember Choral’s excellent Accompanist Pam Kent stepped down in June, as rehearsals for our 2026 summer concert drew to a close. We are all very sad to see her go. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, one would expect Pam to be a talented pianist, but keeping all four choir parts in tune and to tempo, while playing the orchestra’s parts, turning pages correctly and keeping up with the Wednesday night football scores (with just two hands) is on another level.
